Nigerian artistes Wizkid, Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage and Seun Kuti all turned out losers at this year's MOBO Awards which held on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
The 18th edition of the awards ceremony which was held at the SECC Arena in Glasgow, Scotland for the third time saw Ghanaian Pop artisteFUSE ODGwalk away with the 'Best African Act' beating four the Nigerian music stars.
Were all four Nigerian acts given the heads up? Wizkid, Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage and Seun Kuti were all absent from the awards show – Wizkid is currently in Abuja for a paid show, Tiwa will be performing at the finale of the Felabration festival tonight, Seun Kuti performed at Felabration festival last night and Ice Prince who also performed at Felabration on Friday night is still in Lagos.
The biggest winner of the night was English soul singer-songwriter Laura Mvula who won 'Best Female Act' and 'Best RnB/Soul Act'. US rapper Kendrick Lamarwas named 'Best International Act' edging outJustin Timberlake, Ciara, Iggy Azalea, J.Cole, Jason Derulo, Jay Z, Kanye West, Miguel and Robin Thicke
The performances of the night included Down South star Iggy Azalea, So Solid Crew and AlunaGeorge.
