The petition cited that they have prove of gross match fixing acts orchestrated by the Super Eagles entourage, which includes but not limited to video coverage of Presidency giving envelopes to the match officials prior to the day of the match and Test results showing that the Referee was under the Influence of Alcohol during the second half of the match, which they allege he took in the visitors dressing room during the break.
According to the spokesperson of CAF, "These are very serious allegations and are to be investigated thoroughly, NFA Chairman's statement that "President GEJ's visit to Ethiopia helped the Eagles win" gives us more reasons to honour the petition. And if Nigeria is found wanting they'll be automatically disqualified from this final round thence Brazil 2014, in the meantime the second leg of the match has been suspended indefinitely pending the outcome of our investigations"
It could be recalled that last month when CAF received a petition over the fielding of a suspended player by Cape Verde, the petition was upheld by CAF and Cape Verde was subsequently disqualified and Tunisia was awarded 3-0, promoting them to this last round despite Cape verde winning the tie 2-0.
OCB call on all well meaning Nigerians to pray for our Super Eagles since it appears our one leg that has reached Brazil might be brought back even before our second encounter.
