In an interview with Saturday Sun, the 87-year-old diabetic said he just wants the actor to pay 1.5 million out of the accrued debt, adding, ‘When I wanted to take the matter to court, Emeka wrote a letter pleading with me. I have sympathy for Emeka, but unfortunately, he has no sympathy for himself. I never knew this man from Adam. My children said they know him, that he’s an actor. That’s how I fell into his hands.’ The Nollywood actor was also accused of issuing a dud cheque of N1.5 million to the old man, and subsequently lying to Magodo police to forcefully take back control of the property after it was initially locked up by the Commissioner of Police’s office. Meanwhile, Emeka Ike has said he is still in possession and that the matter should not be treated like a national crisis.
