Nollywood actress and Hip-Hop artiste Seyi Ariyo popularly known has SheBaby in an exclusive interview  with Opecareem talks about family, career, new songs and controversies. Enjoy!
 
OCB: If you didn't become a celebrity, what everyday occupation would you have liked?
A Town Planner, I read geography and regional planning.

 OCB: Is it true that you have a house in every country on this planet?
Smile... Everything is Possible

OCB: Ok, let's get to music...Why did you decide to go into genres you do?
I chose Hip hop because it soothes my Kind of Voice.

OCB: Do you write out your lyrics?
Yes I do write out most of my lyrics Except where other artistes are featured

OCB: How did you come about your stage name, SheBaby?
She Baby is gotten from my real name Sheyi. The first 3 letters from my name

OCB: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration?
Mostly from day to day activities

OCB: Do you think that online presence is important for fans to find you and critics to find your music to write about?
Sure! Most of my Fans go online to read, download and see whats new about me, and also Critics to me have really helped my Career, because whatever negative things they write about me has really encouraged me to look in to what has been criticized and improve on

OCB: What projects you are currently working on? Which project is going to release first?
Presently I have a lot of positive things going on. My Movie just came out "Apanimayoda" My Album Red card Is out Red card video ft Pasuma Shot in South Africa, pretoria. Chinny love Video (Epic) just shot
And am working on "Itara Ife" (Zealous Passion) a Pantomime Movie !

OCB:  Which instruments do you play?
Keyboard

OCB: You are a good dancer, did you at anytime trained to be a dancer?
(Blushes) Lols.. Not at all

OCB: How often and for how long do you practice?
Almost Everyday.. More of a Choreographer as long as there is good music

OCB:  How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
Most times we rehearse before appearing on stage, I work with professional dancers, But we don't Usually see mistakes and if it Occurs viewers don't notice. They aren't obvious and we go on

OCB: Would you say you ventured into movies since music isn't paying you well?
I started as an Actress but my incursion into Music is as a result of my quest to touch every sphere of Entertainment. Which no doubt led to the birth of "Tell Me Y" ft Pasuma

OCB: So how do you combine the two?
I believe science students are blessed with wealth of knowledge, we use our theory and hypothesis to solve our day to day problems and it works for us. Both are entertaining. Music Videos you sometimes put concepts which requires acting and vice versa (sound track, Dance Drama)

OCB: Let's get personal...Tell me about you
Ariyo Oluwaseyi Esther. Remo Secondary school Sagamu Ogun State, Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, B.SC Geography and Regional Planning Class 2005. I am From a Humble background.Growing up for me was fun and interesting my mum (a Banker) my Dad was into clearing and forwarding. Got two sisters and a brother (DJ Kevin). I am from a christian home.

OCB: Marriage and kid (s)
I have a 3yr old baby girl and I am Engaged

OCB: About your controversial relationship with Dele Taiwo, Bayowa and Pasuma,   How did such change your life? and How did you overcome the scandal?  What is your advice to newbies battling this same problem?

Bayowa is my Promoter/Marketer. , I featured Alh. Adetola Alabi Pasuma in my first and 2nd Album.
Dele Taiwo is an older colleague in the industry.
People started speculating when they saw the video I featured Pasuma. Though, I have developed  thick skin in this industry so negative stories don't move me any more...it only Encouraged me more.
They should look at what they are good at, work on those skills, they are the raw materials in which they will build their tomorrow. They should encourage themselves and they should see such as normal things for celebrities! More positive things and works Cancel all negativities

OCB:  How do you balance your music with other obligations: mate, home, movies?
God has been Faithful...

OCB: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
Tuface idibia...his songs are Inspiring

OCB:  We’re reaching the end, so I have few questions and some verifying questions, and then you can add anything we missed....why do you dress the way you dress?
I am a professional in my field, what you wear must speak or portray professionalism.. that doesn't mean I am promiscuous. I wear costumes on stage which allow me to dance and move well... I dress very well on every other day

OCB:  How do you remain calm and gracious when being harassed by paparazzi and the media?
Lols... Guess it's maturity, besides my family and close friends even my Prophet know who I am. when you know what you have been accused of Is wrong you need not to be angry or flare up. Two wrongs don't make a right!

OCB:  What are somethings that you can't leave the house without?
The word of God it keeps me going. My phone (my Mobile Office)

OCB: What's your bad quality?
I don't take things serious

OCB: If you were a t-shirt, what color would you be? Why?
Pink because pink is Tender and sensitive

OCB: (Prank) Who would you take on a date on space and why?
LOL...still thinking
