A woman caused a stir at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton on Monday
when she removed her clothes and then embraced the Nelson Mandela

According to The Star, the incident happened at about 4pm on Monday.
The unidentified woman reportedly observed the statue for a few minutes,
saluted it and then proceeded to take off her clothes and embrace the
statue…

A security guard then ordered her to put her clothes back on, which she did, before leaving the square.
Nelson Mandela Square management said that the incident had not been authorised by them.
According to bystanders the woman’s strip-down caused a number of
male waiters to get their orders wrong and a male customer was hit on
the head by his wife for getting up to take a closer look. LOL
Nelson Mandela Square marketing manager Megan Meas
said a security guard had asked the woman to put on her clothes, which
she did before leaving the square without answering any questions.
“This was an unauthorised incident conducted by a private citizen in her personal capacity on our property,” Meas said.
