Abuja Women Scramble for Patience Jonathan's Rice & Money
The first lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan, has been sharing gifts of rice and money to Nigerian women. According to sources, two days before Christmas, she sent trailer loads of rice to Bayelsa state.
On January 1, she allegedly caused a stampede inside Nigeria’s Presidential Palace, Aso Villa, as extremely poor and disadvantaged women living in Abuja scrambled to have a share of her gifts of money and rice.
