More Photos From The Popular Balogun Market Fire Mishap

The fire according to reports started around 4:36am at the popular Balogun Market on Lagos Island.I gathered that goods worth millions of naira were destroyed. The fire started from a plaza which housed hundreds of shops and gradually spread across other buildings.

 

The fire was able to spread fast to other buildings, because the buildings were all built to close to each other.  A diamond bank building was also sadly affected. Five plazas and four houses were alo razed down in the inferno. Fire fighters have been called in to calm the situation and we hear the fire is under control now. See photos below
