Yaya Toure beats Enyeama to CAF African Player of the Year prize, Oshoala wins two awards
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, was announced as the CAF African Player of the Year for the fourth straight year on Thursday night.
The Ivory Coast captain, emerged winner ahead of Nigeria’s Vincent Enyeama and Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
However, there were cheers for the host nation, as Asisat Oshola won the African Woman Player of the Year and the Youth Talent of the Year. The Super Falcons were also named National Team of the Year.
Enyeama and his Super Eagles team-mate Ahmed Musa were included in CAF’s Team of the Year.
