Bomb Blast Kills 50 in Maiduguri’s Popular Market



At least 50 people have been killed in suicide bombing in Maiduguri. Militant group Boko Haram is thought to have carried out the attack. The bomb, said to have been concealed under a butcher’s table in the market, went off at around 1:00pm local time, killing shoppers and travellers, a military source said.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the explosion, but the Boko Haram terrorist is suspected to have carried out the attack. The attack comes days after two bomb attacks killed at least 30 people in the state.
