Five Reasons Why Nigerian Women Need To Start Proposing To Men

Nigeria is a country filled with traditional beliefs and customs, so it is unusual for a woman to ask for a man’s hand in marriage. Nigerian parents always quote the bible passage that says “He who findeth a wife, findeth a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord”.

They believe strongly that the man should propose to the woman , not the other way round. This is the 21st century and things have changed.
Here are 5 reasons why Nigerian women need to start proposing to men. 

 1. Women do things better: According to the popular saying”What a man can do a woman can do better”. Instead of waiting for years for him to pop the question, just go ahead and propose. We live in a world where conventions are broken; for instance men marrying men, women marrying inanimate objects or men turning to women, all these weird things happen daily. This is not as weird as that, so its preferable. 

2. Time waits for no man: Women tend to age faster than men. The pressure from family and friends can be depressing because they keep asking you when you want to get married or who you want to get married to. But once you have someone that you love and want to spend the rest of your life with you can go ahead and propose.
3.Men love to be pampered: Men are like grown babies. They love to be fed,t hey love attention and when you deprive them of it, they look out for someone better that can give them what they want. The best you can do is to give him the ring first. He would be shocked but glad that you did. 

 4. You don’t want to wait for too long: Most Nigerian men like to settle down when they are wealthy and able to sustain a home. In the past 23-27 was the age range but now most Nigerian men wait till they get to 30-35 years before they would be ready to settle down. If this happens you would forced to wait for him to accomplish his goals. But if you both love each other, you can go ahead and pop the question to them. 

5. To advance your life: You don’t have to date a man for 7years and still be waiting for him to propose, just go ahead and do so 7 years seems like you are both married already. Propose and continue your achievements in life. Time waits for no man remember!
