President Muhammadu Buhari last night, announced Mr. Femi Adesina, Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. He also appointed Mallam Garba Shehu as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.
In a statement signed by Shehu, the president also approved the appointment of Mallam Lawal Abdullahi Kazaure as the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP).
Adesina, who is the current President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), attended University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
He started his journalism career in Vanguard Newspapers as features writer, from where he joined Concord Newspapers, where he rose to the position of Editor, National Concord.
He joined The Sun from inception and became the pioneer Editor, Daily. He later became Executive Director, Publications, Deputy Managing Director/Deputy Editor-in-Chief and later Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the company in December 2013.
