One Reportedly Dies, Others Hospitalised after taking Local Gin in Ananmbra

Fear has griped residents of Onitsha, Anambra State over an alleged importation of the deadly killer local gin (Ogogoro) or popularly called (Kai Kai) into Onitsha markets. The commodity was reportedly smuggled into the commercial city through Port Harcourt, via the River Niger.

it was alleged that two residents of the area who drank the gin contacted a deadly disease. One of them reportedly died while the other was taken to an undisclosed hospital outside Anambra State. Recalled, that at the latest 70 people died in River State after taking the hot drink last month.
