The former governor of Akwa Ibom, Chief Godswill Akpabio, has been admitted to hospital after surviving an auto crash in Abuja this morning, Vanguard reported.
According to reports, his convoy is said to have crashed into other vehicles during the morning rush hour.
Akpabio was sent to the National Hospital after sustaining injuries. The severity of his injuries are still unknown as doctors have stated only family is allowed to do so.
Governor Udom Emmanuel has visited his predecessor at the hospital.
