Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has reportedly revoked the allocation of over 25 plots of land approved by his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola towards the end of his tenure.
The properties in question, located in Lekki, were said to have been allocated majorly to Fashola’s relatives, aides and associates, according to The Cable.
The former governor is said to have signed certificates of occupancy for the plots on May 26, three days to his exit from office.
However, the plots had supposedly been allocated to the Lagos State Water Corporation in 1998 and the agency complained to Ambode about the issue.
Fashola has been in the eye of the storm in recent times after it was alleged that he spent N78 million on the upgrade of a personal website and N139M on two boreholes.
