Buhari is in good shape- Osinbajo insists



Nigeria's Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has tried to reduce rumors that President Muhammadu Buhari is seriously ill, saying he is, in fact, in "good shape".

Osinbajo said he had a "fairly long" conversation with Mr Buhari yesterday and he was "hale and hearty". However, Osinbajo did not disclose details of the medical checks Mr Buhari is undergoing in London, merely saying that he "needs to go for a cycle of tests and once he sees the test results and gets medical advice, we should expect him very soon.”
The 74-year-old leader, who has been out of the country for two weeks, was expected to return to Abuja on Sunday, but extended his stay.
