Actress Moji Olaiya dies

I received this news with tears in my eyes... This is sad. Nollywood industry is in a state of mourning as one of its star actress Moji Olaiya is dead. The beautiful actress who gave birth in Canada welcomed her baby girl in March. after she divorced her husband to marry another man. She's the third Nollywood star to have died in recent weeks following the demise of Pastor Ajidara and Olumide Bakare.

Her death was confirmed by the founder of Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi via IG.

He wrote, "Breaking news @MojiOlaiya dies in Canada. 

The news on the daughter of highlife legend Victor Olaiya comes two months after she delivered a baby daughter in that country. Mojisola Olaiya who shone into limelight in Wale Adenuga's SuperStory TV Series has been reported dead minutes ago. Details are still sketchy at the moment. The actress, who got married in 2007, is one of the children of veteran musician, Victor Olaiya.  24 hours before her death, Moji Olaiya shared a cute photo of her self smiling in a living room with the caption,

'Alliamdulilahi to you Allah I give all the glory for all you have done. I will forever praise and worship you. It's not by power but the Grace of Allah. Thank you for the gift of life. Thanks also to all my friends and family my fans for your supports and prayers. Love you all'. May her soul rest in peace!

 Actor Saheed Balogun in a chat with NET said he is still in shock at the passing away of Olaiya. ‘This is sad, really sad. Moji is dead. I just spoke to one of her people in Canada. The person was just crying and crying so it’s hard to get the exact details from her right now. As you know, she just had a baby two months ago. I’m suspecting there may have been some complications but I cannot say much for now. I will have to speak to you later.’

Her first daughter is 18 years old. The beautiful actress, who had featured in many Yoruba and English movies, married her second husband last year after her first marriage ended in 2008. She was born in February 1975.
