R Kelly gets paid $22K for club appearance despite sexual abuse charges
The RnB singer appeared at the Dirty South Lounge in Springfield Illinois on Saturday from his hiding. R Kelly was seen interacting with a small crowd at the event.Though he didn’t have to sing, he yelled out the opening line to his hit song “Bump N’ Grind.”
The singer paid $2K to his booking agent out of the $22,000 he received for the 1-hour appearance. Before making the appearance, R Kelly was on Instagram begging the media to take it easy on him when they see him in the club drinking and partying. According to him, he’s just showing up to collect a check at the event which had about 50 people present.
