Jegede Accepts Ondo Governorship Result, Embraces Peace

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), has said that the party will get back to its feet very soon. Jegede, in a Christmas message issued in Akure on Sunday to felicitate with Christians, urged the people of the state to embrace peace, love and unity.

APC May Cancel Ondo Primary Won By Akeredolu

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) may cancel the September 3, 2016, governorship primary it conducted in Ondo State. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) won the primary hotly contested by others. Ondo People are Bastards and Betrayers - APC Guber Aspirant Shouts After Losing Primary

Speaking in a statement after he lost out in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held during the weekend on August 3, 2016, an APC governorship aspirant in Ondo state, Jamiu Afolabi Ekungba, has reportedly described people of the state as bastards, saying he will never help an Ondo indegine going forward. Over the past weekend, about 23 aspirants under the APC contested for the primary election which saw Rotimi Akeredolu emerged the winner, polling 669 votes, while Dr. Segun Abraham emerged as the second with a total of 635 votes.
