The Portuguese gaffer also said he was confident that the euphoria of lifting the World Cup will provide a boost to Pogba’s club career at Manchester United. Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba looks set for a spell on the sidelines after being substituted with a suspected hamstring injury during the first half against FC Basel. The Frenchman, who was wearing the captain's armband for the night, had to limp out of the UEFA Champions League action after just 18 minutes and he was replaced by Marouane Fellaini, who went on to score the opening goal in the Reds' 3-0 win at Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United player, Bryan Robson, has said Paul Pogba will be a perfect replacement as new captain, if Wayne Rooney leaves this summer. Rooney could potentially play at Old Trafford for the last time this Sunday, when he features in Michael Carrick’s testimonial. Pogba has missed United’s last two games, following the death of his father. But Mourinho says the midfielder is available for selection again, especially with their Europa League final against Ajax coming up next Wednesday.

Paul Pogba Arrives In Manchester





Manchester United have confirmed the arrival of Paul Pogba to the club for a world record deal from Juventus. Paul Pogba who signed a five deal with United, left the Old Trafford for a substantial wage in 2012 after lack of opportunities under united great, Sir Alex Ferguson. At Juventus, Pogba quickly developed into a better player, turned into an all-round midfielder with powerful, creative and skilful qualities to bolster his side. The Italian side announced that United paid €105m for the Frenchman – around £89m – with a further €5m in performance-related add-ons.
