Son Laments As His Father is Gruesomely Assassinated In Ogun State (Photos)

A man identified as Mr. Hodewu has been gruesomely murdered in Ogun state. According to his son, Hodewu Sunday Johnson, the life of his father was terminated by a man called Ope in connivance with a prominent ruler in their area.

 

The son of the deceased in a mourning mood took to his Facebook account to rain curses on his father's alleged killers. 

Former Bayelsa state acting governor Wenipreye Seibarugu injured as assassins storm his residence

MASKED gunmen on Tuesday, attacked the home of a former acting governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Wenipreye Seibarugu, in  Wenipreye Seibarugu the state capital. Seibarugu was said to have sustained an injury during the attack as he, his orderly and other occupants of the house chased after the assailants. The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, was a two-time Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, deputy governor to Chief Timipre Sylva and an acting governor of the state. It was learnt that the gunmen, numbering five, were reported to have invaded the home through the kitchen end of the house. Sources said that the gunmen, who wore masks, were given a chase after Seibarugu’s wife sighted them from the kitchen and raised the alarm.

Engineer Ekene Ani and Nsukka based businessman has survived an assassination attempt on his life by a gang, claimed to have been hired by his neighbour in the market at Achara road, Nsukka, Enugu. According to Mr. Mohammed Danmallam, the state's commissioner of police who confirmed the incident said that 37-year-old Chinedu Nweke allegedly attacked Engineer Anih, with some gang members. Ani however escaped the alleged assassination attempt and lodged a complaint at the police command inn Enugu. Speaking to Daily Sun, the alleged victim, Ani recounted what happened.

Unknown gunmen, believed to be assassins, killed a family of six— husband, wife and four children— in a pre-dawn attack at their home in the Atiba area of Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State. There was uncertainty on the reason for the murder of the man, identified as Sheik Yusuf Abdulsalam Tanimola, who is in his 30s, his wife and children. Vanguard gathered that two of the children were two years old twins.
