It Is Silly For JAMB To Say They Reduced Cut Off Marks To Stop Nigerians going Abroad - Ben Bruce


The decision by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board [JAMB] to drastically reduce the cut off mark of students seeking University admission continues to generate more reactions from Nigerians.
Senator Ben Bruce is the latest to react to it and he had some very strong words as he tweeted, 

'It is silly for JAMBHQ to say they reduced cut off marks to stop Nigerians going abroad. Only Increased education funding will stop that'.

Buhari should sell the 11 Presidential jets – Ben Bruce writes



President of Silverbird Group and Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce says Nigeria’s President should sell all the 11 jets in the Presidential fleet. In an article for Thisday, the outspoken Ben Bruce says he wants Buhari to embark on a common sense revolution by selling off the 11 private jets which currently costs 5.3 billion to maintain annually. According to him: ‘This amount can be used to provide business start-up grants of over five N500,000 to 10,000 NYSC members.’

Senator Ben Murray Bruce is appealing that although it is not practical, President Muhammadu Buhari should appoint a 'common sense minister'. He is raising the issue over the information on sale of Presidential fleet. Bruce's article appeared in today’s ThisDay Live , and he discussed reasons why Buhari has to dispose at the least 11 Presidential fleet, insisting that Nigeria Presidential fleet alone is larger than combined fleet of Queen of England and British Prime Minister with N5.3 billion annual maintenance budget. You Can Not Stop Me From Donating My Wardrobe Allowance To Osun Workers, Bruce Tells Aregbesola



Ben Murray-Bruce has insisted that he would give 50% of his wardrobe allowance to workers in Osun State and the State Governor cannot stop him. Osun State workers are yet to receive salaries in 7 months. This comes after Governor Aregbesola of Osun State hit out at Ben Bruce gestures as being ridiculous, telling him to rather give his allowances to PDP states that had similar remuneration problems.

Entertainment magnet and Senator-elect for Bayelsa East district, Ben Murray-Bruce over the weekend used his Twitter handle to express his anger over the failure of some state governors to pay workers’ salaries and how lawmakers enrich themselves when the people they represent live in abject poverty. Noting that he is not going to the Senate for self enrichment as he has much more than he needs, he tweeted that, “I’m going there to serve God by fighting for the good of Nigerians! “Party politics is money politics. I assure Nigerians I’ll fight for the right of Independent Candidates to run for office in all elections.
