The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, says doctors who feel they want to relocate in search of greener pastures are free to do so as the nation has enough medical personnel. Ngige said this on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday. The minister was responding to a question on brain drain and the deliberate recruitment of Nigerian doctors by foreign embassies in Nigeria to the detriment of the nation’s health sector.

Senator Ngige Loses Dad at Age 105

The former governor of Anambra state, Senator Chris Ngige has lost his father. In a statement released yesterday, Ngige announced the death of his aged, Ozo Akunnia Pius Okonkwo Ngige on Wednesday. The former head of Umu Ngige clan of Alor town in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state stated that he died on Friday, September 4th at the ripe age of 105.
