Patience Jonathan begs EFCC: Let’s Settle


Former First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan appears to be tired of fighting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in court and has asked for out-of-court settlement. In a January 30, 2018 letter, titled “Proposal for out-of-Court Settlement of all cases related to Dame (Mrs.) Ibifaka Patience Jonathan,” she told the EFCC of her intention to settle the matter.

How EFCC Boss, Magu Told UK Not to Give Me Visa - Patience Jonathan Reveals


The immediate past First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan, has opened up on how she was denied UK visa on the instruction of Ibrahim Magu. Mrs Patience Jonathan, Nigeria's ex First Lady, said the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu, wrote a letter to the British High Commission in Nigeria, asking the British Government not to issue her with a visa. According to Punch Metro, Patience said this in a petition written by her lawyers, Granville Abibo (SAN) & Co. which was addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara.

Bukola Saraki & Patience Jonathan special guests at Dino Melaye's Corruption Book Launch in Abuja

Popular Nigerian politician and member of the 8th National Assembly, representing Kogi West Senatotal district, Dino Melaye, has on Monday morning, successfully launched his anti-corruption book titled; "Antidote to Corruption" in an event at the Musa Yara'dua centre in Abuja.
Among the dignitaries who are at the occasion are the former first lady, Patience Jonathan, the senate president, Bukola Saraki, his counterpart at the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, the minister of Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Bello Mohammed, his labour and productivity counterpart, Dr. Chris Ngige and former secretary to the government of the federation, Dr. Anyim Pius Anyim.

Properties Carted Away as Security Operatives Invade Patience Jonathan's Abuja House (Watch Video)

 
The federal government's security operatives in Abuja, yesterday, raided a Maitama property believed to be owned by former First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan. According to an exclusive report by Vanguard, some unidentified security operatives, on Wednesday, invaded one of the homes of former First Lady, Patience Jonathan and carted away some valuables. The suspected security operatives are seen in a video footage, driving away in two white Hilux vans and a white bus after the raid at the Abuja house.

Seized $15m: Patience seeks N200m damages

A Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed December 7, 2016 to hear the N200m fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by wife of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and Skye Bank Plc to challenge the freezing of four bank accounts containing $15m.
The EFCC placed a 'No Debit Order' on the four accounts opened in the name of four companies which were linked to a former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to ex-President Jonathan, Waripamo-Owei Dudafa.

Patience Jonathan Finally Reveals the Source of Her Money Frozen By EFCC

 
There is a new twist to the source of the suspected slush funds traced to the ex First lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan which has been frozen by the EFCC. A twist has occurred in the alleged slush accounts traced to the former First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, with claims by her counsel that two of the accounts belonged to her late mother, Madam Charity Fyneface Oba, according to The Nation.

Patience Jonathan Talks Tough: "EFCC Release My Money Or Face Trouble"


 
Former First Lady, Patience Ibifaka Jonathan, has threatened to drag the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights in The Gambia if her bank accounts are not de-freezed and a public apology tendered immediately. Mama Peace said she will also demand N5billion as “damages.”

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, has said the Federal Government, under President Muhammadu Buhari, is not persecuting Jonathan and his wife, Patience. Speaking in an interview with journalists in Oro, Kwara State, yesterday, Lai said it would be wrong to submit that the Federal Government was probing Jonathan or Patience.

Houseboy, Driver’s Names Used To Open Bank Accounts For Patience Jonathan's Dollars

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested four domestic servants, including a driver and a houseboy, whose names were used to open bank accounts for Mrs Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Sources within the anti-graft agency said on Sunday that the companies’ accounts were opened at one of the new generational banks.

Aisha Buhari Takes over Patience Jonathan’s Office


Notwithstanding the change in nomenclature, it has been revealed that Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, has been operating from the Office of the First Lady located inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Ahead of the March 28 presidential election, Buhari, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, had promised that he would not have an office for the First Lady should he emerge victorious at the election. “The Office of the First Lady is not in the constitution, so there’s no official role for them,” Buhari had said. As the campaigns progressed however, Mrs. Buhari joined the APC team. That made observers doubt whether the President would be able to walk his talk.

Patience Jonathan Missing? Not Seen Since Buhari's Victory


The wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has not been seen in public since Goodluck Jonathan was defeated in the March 28 presidential election by General Muhammadu Buhari of the APC. The President had last Tuesday conceded defeat and called Buhari on the telephone when it became clear from the results released by INEC that he had lost his re-election bid to the slogan of Change. Dignitaries including serving and former government officials had visited Jonathan to commend him for his maturity to concede defeat and solidarise with him on his loss. But since then, many Nigerians have not seen the President’s wife. One of the visitors to Aso Rock told Punch that Mrs. Jonathan also received visitors inside the President’s official residence same day.

I'm Not Ready To Feed My Husband In Prison - First Lady


Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has said she is not ready to feed her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan, in prison. The President’s wife spoke in Ado Ekiti, on Monday, during the rally of the women’s wing of the Peoples Democratic Party. Making a reference to the All Progressives Congress, she asked, “What did they forget in Aso rock? If you vote PDP and Jonathan, it would be better for you. If you vote APC, you will go to prison. How can you jail somebody for 300 years? I’m not ready to carry food to my husband inside prison oh!”
