Two suicide bomber blow themselves at Molai Hospital in Borno

Two suicide bombers on Wednesday morning accidentally blew themselves up at Molai Leprosy/General Hospital, about 100 metres away from a locally established market. The explosion left both bombers dead with two innocent people injured. Confusion, however, trailed the explosion as many residents including patients and hospital workers scampered for safety.

Suicide Female Bomber Kills 10 in Damaturu

A female suicide bomber hit Damaturu on Sunday, killing herself and seven others. The attack took place at the Damaturu Central Motor park near the A division police Station that was on January 9th burnt down by the Boko Haram insurgents. The State Police Public Relation Officer Toyin Gbadegesin said the bomber made several failed attempts to bomb the military outfit inside the park before she boarded a half-loaded Sharon car and blew herself off killing 10 people at the spot.

Security agents arrested a suspected female suicide bomber who would have blown up the General Shuwa Memorial Hospital, Maiduguri and killed the health workers and the patients they labour hard to treat. 
According to Guardian,the suspected bomber, a fairly old woman, who was said to have been confronted first by the hospital’s security guards, was arrested after it was discovered that she hid an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a food flask she was carrying.

A lady dressed in the Muslim Burkah with a bomb under her robe was caught at Murtala Specialist Hospital Kano, where the victims of Friday’s terrorist attack were being treated. The woman was pretending to pay a visit to a sick patient. She was dressed in Hijab Niqaf with socks. Under her hijab she had a bomb strapped.

According to reports, the bomb was directly disabled by security people at the site and the lady was set on fire. The woman was said to have been accompanied by two armed men who were waiting for the bomb to be exploded, to again start shooting on the escaping victims.

This comes two days after terrorist attacks on the Kano central Mosque where over 200 worshippers were killed. Murtala specialist hospital is one of the hospitals receiving victims of the deadly Mosque attack. The Kano Central Mosque had been closed down for the first time in its 400 year old history. It was reported earlier today that according to a victim of the Kano Central Mosque attack, Malam Shehu Ahmed, has said that a strange white man detonated remotely the Friday bomb blast.

Female Suicide Bombers52 women trained to attack in Maiduguri

According to reports, 52 female suicide bombers have been ordered to carry out attacks in Maiduguri.

One of the bombers, who was arrested by members of a local vigilante, reportedly confessed that other bombers had been sent into the town to detonate bombs and cause destruction.

Barely a week after twin female suicide bombers blew themselves in a crowded market in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, another set of two girls on Monday blew themselves up, security sources and witnesses have said.

The explosions which heard at about 11:20 may have caused many people’s death and injury, witnesses said.

Police Arrest Fake Female Suicide Bomber

A fake female suicide bomber was taken into custody by the police in Kano yesterday, following a bomb scare.

An eyewitness told Vanguard that the incident occurred around 12.30p.m. when the police guard on duty at Kwali Police Division suspected a strange middle-aged woman in Burqa (veil) heading to the station.

The account had it that “the strange woman refused to stop for scrutiny, when ordered by the police guard at the security post.”

The encounter at the security post drew the attention of armed personnel, who mobilized themselves and surrounded the strange woman for failing to comply with police order.

The account added that the strange woman said: “I am ready to die. But mark you, there are two others at large in the city.”
