PDP Jubilates Over Fani-Kayode’s Defection From APC

The PDP is excited by the defection and castigation of APC by ex-minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode and has described the former minister’s claims on the APC as a vindication of its position that the opposition party is made up of ethnic and religious bigots.

The party further boasted that other “reasonable and respectable Nigerians” still in the APC will soon join PDP as “they have now discovered that the agenda of the APC is to promote violence and the personal agenda of a few unpatriotic individuals.”

Fani-Kayode, had in a statement on Tuesday announced his defection from APC back to the PDP.
Reacting to the declaration by Fani-Kayode, PDP national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement said “The revelation by the former minister that the APC has sympathy for insurgents further confirms PDP’s earlier position linking APC’s utterances to the spate of insurgency and sectarian violence in the country.

“We have now been vindicated. The truth may be hidden for sometime but it has a way of expressing itself. The world can now see that we do not speak for nothing when we describe them in their true nature; a cult, a hypocritical lot, wolves in sheep skin, devils who, through their utterances, stoke the fire of violence by night only to wear messianic robes in the morning to shed crocodile tears for their victims.”
“Nigerians are no longer at loss regarding who their real enemies are. They can now see why the APC feels no pain but seeks always to gain political capital out of the bombings and killings in our country. Having realized that they have been rejected by the people, they resorted to using dastardly means including promoting violence and falsehood to further their plot to destabilize the polity, balkanize the nation and truncate the democratic process, a scheme which has already failed”, the statement said.

The APC however said they would react to PDP and Fani-Kayode's deceit agenda appropriately. Buy Cheap Android Phones on Konga.com | Lowest Price in Nigeria

We Don't Know You In Our Party ––APC Disowns Fani-Kayode

The All Progressives Congress has declared ex-Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode persona non grata, as the leading opposition party stated categorically that he’s not a recognised member of the party.
“Femi Fani-Kayode is not a senior member of our party [APC]. Where did he register as a member of the APC and what qualifies him to be a senior member of my party?
“People came to join our party and in politics, you don’t push everybody away. He is a former Minister and has what I can call name recognition, and when he came to associate with our party, all well and good. But what role or specific office was he given? Which meeting of the organ of the party has he ever attended?

“Fani-Kayode has access to many people; he has access to me, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu or perhaps even General Muhammadu Buhari or Bisi Akande, but that does not make him a senior member of the party.”
According to APC, the controversial politician who paraded himself as a member of the party does not have any stake and neither is he recognized to be given any role in the party, both at the state or national level.
The interim National Publicity of APC, Lai Mohammed made this clarification, adding that the party cannot take any disciplinary action against someone who is not even regarded as their member.

My Secret Meeting With Jonathan ––Fani-Kayode

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, says his closed-door meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday has earned him insults. Fani-Kayode, an ardent critic of the President, laments on Wednesday, that what transpired at the meeting had been the subject of so much "online speculation". Writing on his Facebook page, he insists that he has a right to pay a courtesy visit to Jonathan, just as governors who belong to the opposition APC do. Reacting to the Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket saga in APC, Fani-Kayode said:

“What I have said is very simple and clear. I will say nothing until I am ready. Let those that are insulting me and making assumptions continue to do so. That, in itself, tells me a lot.” He added that he aligns himself with the opinion of one of his friends, Biodun Ishola-Ladepo, who he quotes as saying, “If I were Femi Fani-Kayode and my party planned to field a Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket, especially in the age of Boko Haram, I would bolt faster than Hussein Bolt.” Fani-Kayode says he is glad that “someone is seeing things clearly”, adding that he wants the leadership of the party to break its “silence” on the issue. “This is not about leaving parties but about principle. Let us hope that the leadership of the APC sees it fit to clarify this matter at the soonest and assure us all that they will do no such thing. Their silence on the matter and their refusal to rule it out is simply fuelling more speculation and dissent from within,” he adds. Meanwhile, Fani-Kayode continue to receive criticisms as a result of his comments at the Presidential Villa.

Femi Fani-Kayode Dumps APC, Goes Back To PDP [TWEET]

Former minister of aviation and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has defected to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

This was made known in a tweet by the special assistant to the President on new media, Reno Omokri just yesterday evening, April 8, 2014.
Fani-Kayode was a member of the ruling party (PDP) before he defected to APC. He was the special assistant on public affairs to President Olusegun Obasanjo from July 2003 until June 2006. He was later appointed minister of culture and tourism in 2006 and later minister of aviation. Fani-Kayode’s defection came after a closed door meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Speaking to pressmen after the hour long meeting, Fani-Kayode told State House correspondents that there was nothing unusual in him visiting the President, saying he was delighted he did so.

He said: “This is a Presidential Villa, the President is a President of Nigeria and every single person in this country that is a Nigerian is entitled to come here from time to time, when the doors are open to come and pay their respect to the wonderful people that are here. As a Nigerian, I have done that today and I am delighted to be here.”

He told pressmen that he has just realised that President Goodluck Jonathan is a responsible leader.

He said, “The step that I will take will be made known to Nigerians at the right time.

“The most important thing and I think you are fully aware of this is that I cannot and I will not be associated with a situation whereby any group of people is promoting a religion above another.

“I think all of us have gone past the stage of  religious politics in this country. We must treat the Muslim community with utmost respect and we must treat the Christian community in the same way and even the non-religious.”

Femi Fani Kayode Attacked In His Dream By Ojukwu’s Ghost

Bizarre news streaming in from the residence of controversial ex-aide to former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Femi Fani Kayode indicates that he has been rushed to a hospital after suffering a nervous breakdown by "the Spirit of Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu".

According to eye witnesses, at about 3AM yesterday morning, noises were heard from FFK's bedroom, sounding like screaming and struggling. When his door was eventually opened, he was spotted on the bed with his eyes closed screaming "I'm sorry Sir! I lied! I didn't sleep with Bianca! Aaaaaah mogbe!"

His wife immediately started praying and speaking in tongues, after which Fani Kayode calmed down.
Theories have been flying about, one of which is that the spirit of Ojukwu came to haunt him for daring to reveal that he had sexual relations with his dear wife, Bianca.

FFK is currently recuperating in hospital. More light shall be shed on the matter as events unfold.
