Taribo West Tells Rohr Those to Involve in His World Cup Plans


Former Nigeria and Inter Milan defender Taribo West, has said that the Super Eagles will be a force to reckon with at the Russia 2018 World Cup if the national team coach Gernot Rohr involves some of the experienced ex-internationals in his plans. Taribo also has called for the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to give ex-internationals, who have played the game at top levels, especially in Europe, the opportunity to contribute towards the success of the Eagles in Russia. He told Punch Newspaper: “If it’s a country where things are done the right way, where those in administration have the people at heart, we must bring those who know the game to pass it across to the next generation.

I need new players in Super Eagles squad – Rohr




Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has admitted that he still needs new players in the squad. Rohr especially pointed out the left-back spot, despite the presence of Elderson Echiejile and new call-up Maroof Youssef. The German tactician stated this during his pre-match conference on Thursday, ahead of Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Uyo.

Super Eagles Coach, Rohr's Salary Crisis Deepens as Ministry Abandons NFF

The sports ministry has refused to yield to pressure from the Nigeria Football Federation to help sort the payment of the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr his three month’s salary out. Rohr, who was heavily linked with the vacant Guinea job before he was snapped up by the NFF in August last year, has won the country’s three competitive matches since his employment. NFF had promised that they would have no problems paying the national coach his entitlements because they had firms who had agreed to support them financially.

I Want Super Eagles Jersey Colours Changed - Rohr


The head coach of the Nigerian national team is eyeing a change of the jerseys of the team as a way of giving the team a face-lift. Super Eagles of Nigeria Coach, Gernot Rohr has expressed his views on the design of the Super Eagles 2017 jersey. Rohr was with chiefs of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in London where the jersey was shown to him, and he pointed some certain areas he wants the manufacturers to address. He was particular about the colours in some areas of the jersey which according to him makes it hard to properly see some of the players.

I did not reject my accommodation – Rohr





Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has reacted to news making the rounds that he rejected the accommodation given to him by the Nigeria Football Federation for his stay in Nigeria. Rohr, who managed the senior national team for the first time in a 1-0home win against Tanzania earlier this month expressed displeasure atthe way people are using his openness and easy accessibility to quote him out of context and attempt to derail him from the core assignment he has at hand.
