Billionaire Mike Adenuga Donates $250,000 To Super Eagles To Defeat France in World Cup Match

Nigeria’s second richest man, Mike Adenuga, has reportedly donated $250,000 to Nigeria’s soccer team, the Super Eagles, in an attempt to boost their morale ahead of their clash against France later today at the ongoing World cup.
Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, Hon Tammy Danagogo announced this on Sunday while addressing the players and officials of the soccer team at the Brasilia Palace Hotel camp in Rio.
The Minister informed the players of Adenuga’s promise to rewards each of the players handsomely if the Nigerian team performed reasonably well at the games.
“He said this is a token and if the team goes ahead and shock the world, he will join Mr. President to shock the team,” Danagogo said.
   
Adenuga, who is worth $5.1 billion by FORBES estimates made his fortune in mobile telecoms, banking and oil. He is the founder of Globacom, Nigeria’s second-largest mobile phone network. A major supporter of soccer in Nigeria, he gave the Super Eagles a $1 million gift for winning the African Cup of Nations.  Forbes
