Serious Storm Brews as Nigerian Army Sets Up Another Operation Python Dance in S-East

The announcement by the military hierarchy that it was organising another exercise in the South East geo political zone code named Operation Python Dance 11, which would last from September 15 to October 15, 2017, is raising a lot of dust. Coming at a time tension was already mounting following the renewed activities of the pro Biafra agitators and the threat by the federal government to revive the suit against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, various interpretations were already being given to the latest move by the Army.

Nigerian Soldier Cured Of Ebola in Netherlands

The Dutch public health institute, RIVM, said in a statement yesterday, that a Nigerian UN peacekeeper infected with Ebola and brought to the Netherlands for treatment has been cured. In their words,

“The Nigerian patient who was admitted on December 6 has been cured of Ebola,” 

The soldier was infected while working as a peacekeeper battling the deadly disease in Liberia.

BOKO HARAM: America cancels training of Nigerian soldiers

The United States has announced the cancellation of the training of a battalion of the Nigeria Army, at the request of the Federal Government. It said that the first two phases of the training were conducted between April and August, 2014, noting that it had provided untrained civilian with basic skills.

It has been confirmed through a statement released yesterday by the Defense Headquarters, that the leader of  Boko Haram, Shekau has been killed 

In an explanation, the military noted that the person they killed whose real name is Mohammed Bashir had adopted the propaganda of Shekau after the first Shekau was been killed.
