Canadian Judge Who Wore Trump Hat In Court Suspended For 30 Days


A Hamilton judge who wore a "Make America Great Again" hat in court the morning after Donald Trump's U.S. election win last November has been suspended for 30 days. Judge Bernd Zabel appeared before a disciplinary hearing last month, and said he did not support the American president, but was simply trying to make people laugh when he wore the baseball cap with the phrase Trump used during his campaign.

Dreamers Deportation: 15 US States Sue Trump


Fifteen states and the District of Columbia went to court Wednesday to block President Donald Trump’s plan to end a programme protecting young immigrants from deportation — an act former President Barack Obama called ‘cruel’.
Washington state’s attorney general, Bob Ferguson called it part of a “dark time for our country.”
The lawsuit filed in federal court in Brooklyn asked a judge to conclude that the president’s action involving the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, is unconstitutional.

Democrats Say They Will Impeach Trump Over Claims He Obstructed Justice


Democrats have said they will try to impeach Donald Trump over claims he obstructed justice, saying "no president is above the law". The party claims President Trump obstructed an FBI investigation into Russian interference during the US election and says they will now file official articles of impeachment against him. The announcement comes as former FBI Director James Comey is scheduled to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Russia, Iran Warn Trump They Would Retaliate If He Launches More Airstrikes On Syria


Russian and Iranian forces last night warned Donald Trump they would retaliate with military action if he launched more airstrikes on Syria. In an ominous threat raising the prospect of war, they said the US President had crossed a 'red line' with his surprise missile bombardment on Bashar al-Assad's forces. 'From now on we will respond with force to any breach of red lines and America knows our ability to respond well,' the military chiefs said in a joint statement with Hezbollah.

US President Donald Trump, who made a fortune in real estate before running for political office, has decided to donate his first-quarter salary of $78,333 to the National Park Service. During the presidential campaign, Trump said he would donate his US$400,000 annual salary if he were elected. "That's no big deal for me," he told a town-hall style meeting in September 2015.

Angelina Jolie Slams Donald Trump's Travel Ban

Angelina Jolie has slammed President Trump's immigration ban which suspends the admission of refugees from seven Muslim-majority countries. The actress, who is known for her humanitarian work, especially her efforts to aid Syrian refugees, penned the scathing op-ed for the New York Times. In the piece, she urged that policy decisions should be based on "facts, not fear," and invoked former President Ronald Reagan in her opposition to the ban. "The global refugee crisis and the threat from terrorism make it entirely justifiable that we consider how best to secure our borders," she wrote.
