APC Dismisses Bello’s Alleged Move To Dump Party


The All Progressives Congress has dismissed a recent report claiming that Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is planning to leave the party. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, dismissed the report in an interview with Punch correspondent in Abuja on Sunday. The report had claimed that Bello was contemplating joining the Accord Party if the APC denied him re-election ticket.

Kogi records zero case of robbery, kidnapping in last 60 days – Bello


Kogi Government in collaboration with various security agencies had recorded tremendous success in checking criminal activities in November and December 2017. Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi, who stated this to State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday, said state’s crime statistics covering the affected months indicated that the state recorded no single case of armed robbery or kidnapping in the months under review. According to him, an attempt to snatch a vehicle from a citizen sometime this week was however frustrated by a combined team of security agents keeping the peace in the state.

The All Progressives Congress Governorship winner in Kogi, Yahaya Bello has now being sworn in. He was however sworn in without a deputy governor today, Wednesday, 27th of January, 2016 as Late Audu’s deputy had vowed not to be present at the swearing in and is already in court where he had dragged INEC, his party, APC, for replacing Bello with Late Audu instead of himself, who ran with Audu during the polls.
