In the incident that has left many shocked, the man in said to have gone berserk and slit the throat of his girlfriend as their seven-year old daughter watched.
The couple who had been living together for the last one year are said to have been engaged in a heated argument earlier with the man accusing the woman of unfaithfulness.
Speaking to the media, the traumatized girl explained that the dad grabbed a knife and stabbed her mother severally before cutting her throat and running away.
While confirming the incident Naivasha OCPD Charles Kortok said that investigations had been launched to arrest the man who is still missing.
He urged couples to solve their differences amicably and not engaging in fights.
The minor is undergoing counseling sessions at a nearby counseling centre.
