Chaka Khan, Angelique Kidjo in joint set at Lagos luxury concert

Multiple Grammy-award winnerChaka Khanand Benin-born singer/Grammy winnerAngelique Kidjoboth hit the stage in Lagos last night (October 12, 2013) as they performed some of their chart topping hits to a VIP audience

Titled 'Love Music Love Life Luxury Concert', the event was put together by retro-themed radio stationSmooth FM 98.1.



The concert which was held at Eko Hotel and Suites saw live band performances from the two music stars, who took the guests through the night dishing out some of their greatest hits.



Anchored by Smooth FM's OAPThe Genie, the three-hour show also saw performances from soul singer/pianistKaline Akinkugbe, who thrilled the audience with her voice and the keyboard.



Angelique Kidjo brought her fire to the stage, performing timeless hits like 'Wombolobo' and 'Agolo'. So did Chaka Khan with 'I'm every woman' and more.

The high point of the concert was when both singers hit the stage together to round off the evening, performing Chaka Khan's 1983 smash hit song 'Ain't Nobody'.



The turnout was impressive putting into cognizance the minimum gate fee of N25,000.

Chaka Khan had arrived Nigeria for the concert Friday, October 11. Kidjo got in a day earlier.
