Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has launched a verbal attack on manager
Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese coach questioned the Cameroon
international’s age earlier this year. It was reported in March that
Eto’o still hadn’t forgiven Mourinho for mocking his age a month earlier
– and it seems this may well be the case, after the 33-year-old
appeared to label his manager a “fool” in an interview with
Africanfootball.com.
When asked how he feels about next month’s showpiece international
tournament being his last World Cup finals, the former Barcelona and
Inter Milan striker responded: “Today, I am 33 years old. And it is not
because a fool called me an old man that you must believe it.And you may
have noticed that the old man was better than the youngsters.” Eto’o is
poised to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after his one-year deal
with the Blues comes to an end.
