The 39-year-old actress was presented with the Honorary Dame Grand Cross thanks to her work in attempts to end sexual violence.

Angelina Jolie met with Queen Elizabeth today at Buckingham Palace to be officially awarded her honorary damehood.

 

She met with Her Royal Majesty in the Palace's 1844 Room, where the Queen presented her with an Honorary Dame Grand Cross.

(An honorary dame is the female equivalent of knighthood, the highest honor bestowed upon a citizen of the British Empire.)
