Arsenal ready to make Sanchez highest earner

 

Arsenal are expected to sit down with Alexis Sanchez’s representatives in the coming days and discuss a new long-term contract. The Chile international enjoyed a spectacular debut season with the Gunners, scoring 25 times and helping them win the FA Cup. Sanchez currently earns around £130,000 a week, just behind Mesut Ozil, who takes home £140,000 a week.

Arsene Wenger is keen to reward Sanchez for his impact, since he moved to North London from Barcelona last summer. The new deal is expected to make the 26-year-old Arsenal’s highest-paid player. Sanchez started the season slowly following his involvement in Chile’s conquest at the Copa America, but has scored six times across all competitions, including a brace against Manchester United in their last league game.
