A petrol tanker, fully loaded with fuel fell from the Ojuelegba bridge and exploded, destroying buildings and vehicles. Fire fighters are currently on the scene of the accident.
The Lagos State fire service has appealed to the residents of surulere and particulary Ojuelegba area of the state to presently desist from igniting any forms fire, exposure to naked light as a measure to avert fire outbreaks due to the spillage of the premium motor spirit ( PMS) also known as petrol from a 33, 000 Litrs loaded forte oil tanker which fell down on Ojuelegba bridge . Lagos State firefighters are strategically positioned to effectively managed wit chem ical so as to prevent disasters. Lagosians are hereby warned to stay off the scene in other for rescue operators to acess the scene.
