Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini Banned for 8 years

 

FIFA has banned Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini from all football activities for 8 years and fined by adjudictory ethics chamber.This decision has brought to an end the leadership of Blatter and Platini as they would not be able to run for FIFA presidency come February 26, 2016

The investigative arm had recommended lifetime bans after the undocumented consultancy fee of £1.35million outgoing FIFA president Blatter paid UEFA president Platini nine years after the work was done.
