Arsenal Agrees £13.4m Deal With Roma For Goalie

Arsenal goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny has returned to Roma on a loan deal but with an option to a permanent move for £13.4m. The Polish goalkeeper had 180 appearances for Arsenal, but his trouble started when he was caught smoking in the showers after the New day’s defeat to Southampton coupled with lacklustre displays on the pitch which had him replaced by Colombian David Ospina.

The 26-year old made a loan switch to Roma last season after being sidelined in the North London set-up making 42 appearances for the Italian club due to lack of playing time with Arsenal. Szczesny made huge impact at Roma helping them to a comfortable third position on the Serie A League table last season.
Wojciech Szczesny was bought from Legia Warsaw in 2006, he later made his professional debut in 2009 and subsequently became the Gunners first choice, wining two FA cups and also the joint winner of the 2013/14 Premier League Golden Glove. He is also the first choice in the Polish national team with more than 25 caps for his national side.
