More Celebrities Join Star-Studded Cast for Filming of Wedding Party 2...See Details

The filming for Part 2 of the record-breaking film, "The Wedding Party" has begun, as photos which emerged on social media show the star-studded cast already working. 

CEO of EbonyLife TV, Mo Abudu has taken to her Instagram page to share some good news to Nigerian movie lovers that has left many very excited and eager! The media entrepreneur revealed that filming for part 2 of the record-breaking film, "Wedding Party" has begun!

The film which is being directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and the DOP being Malcolm McLean, will feature the original cast, such as Sola Sobowale, Adesua Etomi, Banky W, RMD, Ireti Doyle.
It will also feature new cast members including; Dakore Egbuson Akande, ChiGul, Omoni Oboli, Seyi Law and a host of many others.
The director of "The Wedding Party," Kemi Adetiba, is not returning for the recently announced sequel. The sequel which commenced shoot on May 1, 2017, is being directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, who is popular for "Out of Luck," "The Arbitration," "Room 315," and "Falling." "The Wedding Party" isn't Akinmolayan's first film with one of the producers of the movie, Inkblot Productions. His movies "Out of Luck" and "The Arbitration" were produced by the production company. 

 In "The Wedding Party" sequel Nonso (Enyinna Nwigwe), has continued his romance with Deirdre ((Daniella Down), the bridesmaid from London. Somehow, Nonso manages to propose by accident, while on a dinner date, and sets off a chain of events too powerful to stop. Deirdre’s upper-crust British family are against the match, as are some members of the Nigerian clan, but Deirdre’s determination can’t be contained. After a near-disastrous introduction ceremony in Lagos and Nigerian opposition to a London wedding, both families reluctantly agree to a wedding in Dubai, setting us off on another colourful, chaotic and memorable journey to everlasting love. A collaboration between EbonyLife Films, FilmOne Distribution, Koga Studios and Inkblot Productions, the first film grossed over 40 million naira at the box office.
