Iyabo Ojo, Doris Simeon, Femi Adebayo, Others Mourn Remi Surutu’s Daughter


Just as news of Remi Surutu’s daughter’s death filtered into town, many Nollywood actors have taken to social media to console the grieving actress.

Iyabo Ojo was one of the early mourners who shared a condolence message on Instagram. With a photo she took with the late Ayo, Iyabo wrote:

“A beautiful young soul gone too soon @therealremisurutu aunty, i do not have d right words to say to u, nothing we say can comfort u, its indeed a great loss & i am deeply so sorry, it’s only God that can comfort u, u tried sis, u gave it ur all, u fought for her to live so many time, u are a great mum, but God knows best, 

 its not easy sis, God pls comfort her, aunty u ve to be strong for her remaining siblings, I Love u sis, I will miss u greatly AYO, u were always smiling, RIP angel……. May we not loss any of our children again……..this is so so sad……. #heartbroken #Godplsvemercy #protectourchildrenalways Pls don’t ask me what happened to her just pray for her soul” (sic) Even Yomi Fabiyi, who is the publicity secretary of the Moji Olaiya Burial Committee, also mourned the young lady, Ayo, who he was obviously close with.


He wrote:

”Rest in Peace AYO. May God grant your mum @therealremisurutu the strength to bear this loss. She did all she can, omg! Aunty Remi, please take heart.Seeing your lifeless body now caused me more pain and it is because I value the friendship we shared. Journey well. In serious pain now.

Doris Simeon, who is the former wife of Daniel Ademinokan, shared Ayo’s photo and captioned:
“Words fail me…………… RIP #ayo”

Actor and the Special Adviser to Kwara State Governor on Arts and Culture, Femi Adebayo simply shared the deceased photo and wrote, 

“Rest In Peace, Ayo.”



The deceased, Ayo, was actress Remi Surutu’s first daughter, was said to have suffered from sickle cell disorder.
She died on July 2.
