Deposit N1billion and I'll testify-Jonathan tells Metuh

Ex- President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday challenged the witness summon issued on him by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to appear today to testify as a defence witness in the trial of former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh. In an application filed yesterday by his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, Jonathan particularly wants the court to void the subpoena issued on him.

The trial of the Spokesperson of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh and his company, Destra Investments Limited commenced on Monday, January 25, 2016, before Justice O.E Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja with the prosecution, EFCC, presenting two witnesses. One of the witness, Nicole Nneka Ararume recalled how she transferred $2million into his company, Destra Investment Limited.

PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh, is insisting he's innocent after collecting money without disclosing job: Adeyanju Deji, the Peoples Democratic Party’s director of new media, has narrated how he visited Metuh who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last week. Deji quoted Metuh saying: “They have tried to blackmail & spoil my name. Just imagine all they have said about me. Telling lies against me. First they said I was collecting N5million Naira monthly from office of NSA, imagine if u were my staff how u will feel hearing that. Imagine how all the news people & my staff working with me felt when they heard I was collecting N5milion Naira from Dasuki. They will say so this man was a wicked man. So he was collecting money from Dasuki & other places & was always telling us no money.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, has revealed it is cold being in the opposition,as people changed because they are no longer in power.Speaking in an interview with Sahara TV ,he said
