A former Catholic priest, Rev. Patrick Henry Edet, has fixed March 17 for his marriage to his fiancée who he would unveil next week. Edet made the disclosure on Tuesday during his Grace Family service. Edet’s resignation from Catholic Church about six months ago has generated a lot of discourse. The popular Uyo-based priest and radio preacher, while addressing his radio audience on Planet 101.1FM, Uyo, said then that “the resignation marked the beginning of ‘freedom’ for his spirit and soul”.

Wait a minute! did Allah speak to him? A Catholic priest, Eduardo Vincenzo Maria Gomez from Spain, who woke up from a 17-month long coma has converted to Islam after he claimed 'Allah' spoke to him and showed him “the beauty of the heavens”.

The priest was reported to have suffered a cardiac arrest while fixing the roof of his church along with other volunteers, falling two stories high and managed to survive 87-year-old Father Gomez has lived and preached on the island of Java in Indonesia for over 43 years is said to be very fluent in Javanese and various dialects of different ethnic groups that make up the island and a well respected figure amongst religious groups of the area.

According to reports, a Catholic priest has been arrested for molesting a 15-year-old boy. Police revealed that 56-year-old Father W. Jeffrey Paulish was caught in the act as they found the boy (who was not wearing pants) in a car on a University campus. When he was caught, the priest initially said he was orking on his homily on campus when he met the boy, who he said was in emotional distress and needed counseling. Police say he later admitted that he met the teen through the "casual encounters" section of Craigslist. Paulish also said he asked the boy several times if he was above the age of 18. Paulish was charged with a felony count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse as well as unlawful contact with a minor. He was also charged with three misdemeanor counts: indecent contact with a minor, indecent exposure and corruption of a minor.
