FUNAAB Appoints New Acting Vice Chancellor (See Photo)

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State has appointed a new acting Vice Chancellor in the person of Professor Ololade Enikuomehin. Ololade Enikuomehin, a professor of Plant Pathology and Mycology, has been appointed as Acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He was appointed into the position on Wednesday by the Governing Council of the institution. Enikuomehin until his appointment was the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development) of the university. Speaking at a handover ceremony on Wednesday, the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. Mathew Ayoola, said the Senate of the university at its special meeting recommended the appointment of Enikuomehin with effect from May 24, 2017.

Prof. Olusola Oyewole was last week suspended by the federal government over series of petitions bothering on alleged maladministration and financial malpractices.

University Fraud: FG Suspends Vice Chancellors Of FUTA & FUNAAB

The Federal Government has suspended the embattled Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola and his counterpart at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof. Olusola Oyewole. A letter signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. Hussaini Adamu, noted that the vice-chancellors were suspended in connection with their ongoing trial at the behest of the EFCC. They were instructed to handover to the most senior Deputy Vice-Chancellors of their institutions.
