Nollywood Actress Empress Njamah had an exclusive interview with Nonye Ben-Nwankwo of Punch about her fashion and style. She had 285 shoes and gave out 85 with 200 left. She also said there was a time she bought a perfume for N300,000.

I was able to give out 85 pairs of shoes to orphanages in Abuja and Lagos. I was left with more than 200. You would feel you have given out enough but at the end of the day, when you go back and count, you will find out that they are still there.

On her love for perfume

I am a perfume person. I have bought a perfume that is worth over N300, 000. I have over 200 bottles. It is either you are into something or you are not. It doesn't mean that there is no cheaper perfume that smells better than that one, but it is something you like and you want to pick it.

Singer Michel’le opens up about being physically abused by Dr. Dre

Who knew he too was/is a woman beater? Singer Michel'le and super producer/rapper Dr Dre dated from 1990 -1996 and had a son named Marcel born in 1991. Michel'le went on to marry Death Row Records founder/CEO Suge Knight in 1999 and had a daughter with him.

In the final episode of the inaugural season of "R&B Divas L.A." Michel'le opened up about being physically abused by Dr. Dre and revealed the abuse from him and another boyfriend was the reason she got a nose job, because of the physical damage she suffered in their hands.

Well, her revelation upset a lot of fans who verbally attacked Dr Dre online. Dr Dre hasn't responded to the allegations yet. Michel'le ended up having to defend him from upset fans a few days ago urging them to calm down.

Catholic Priests To Be Allowed To Marry

In what is an unprecedented move, the Vatican has opened the door to the possibility of Catholic priests being allowed to marry.

For centuries Catholic Church tradition has required celibacy from priests and the Canon Law of the church clearly states: "Clerics are obliged to observe perfect and perpetual continence for the sake of the kingdom of heaven, and therefore are bound to celibacy, which is a special gift of God by which sacred ministers can adhere more easily to Christ with an undivided heart and are able to dedicate themselves more freely to the service of God and humanity."

However, Archbishop Pietro Parolin, the incoming No. 2 in the Catholic Church when be becomes secretary of state next month, has declared that priestly vow of celibacy derived from an age-old rule but was not Catholic dogma.

"It's not a dogma of the Church and it can be discussed because it's an ecclesiastical tradition," Archbishop Parolin told El Universal in Venezuela, where he is completing his term as Papal Nuncio.

This has been interpreted to mean that the church under reformist-minded Pope Francis I would welcome married priesthood if most Catholics so desire.The number of priests has been declining steadily partly because of the rule on celibacy. In the United States alone, about 30,000 priests have left because they wanted to pursue a relationship.

"I think it would be an enormously welcome conversation," Thomas Groome, a professor of theology at Boston College, USA, told interviewers. "I think Catholics, certainly American Catholics, but Catholics of the world, have been waiting for this conversation."

Groome said that the idea of complete celibacy among the clergy only started to become standard practice in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries, adding:

"As far as we can tell from the Gospels, all of the apostles were married, with the possible exception of John."

Brazilian Man to Marry Pet Goat in Devil’s Church (PICTURED)

Aparecido Castaldo, a retired stone cutter from Jundiai, Brazil has decided to marry his beloved Carmella, a goat. Because no Christian minister would agree to perform the marriage ceremony, the two will be wed by a known satanic leader, in the Church of the Devil.

People have married their pets in the past, although in most cases the marriage ceremony was just a symbolic one performed by family or friends. However, 74-year old Aparecido Castaldo, a widower and father-of-seven, apparently wanted to be united with his goat Carmela in a church, by an evangelical minister. Unfortunately, none of the churches he contacted with his unusual request wanted to perform the ceremony, so Aparecido eventually contacted Toninho do Diabo (Tom the Devil), an old friend who just happens to be one of the most famous satanists in Brazil. The wedding is scheduled to take place at midnight, on October 13, at the Devil's Church, in Sao Paolo. "Only our church accepted this love between man and animal because we have no prejudice," Toninho said.

Aparecido fell in love with his pet goat two years ago, and apparently she has already been accepted as a "stepmother" by the man's seven children, who will all be at the wedding. Although their upcoming wedding has caused a lot of controversy in the community, and attracted accusations from animal rights activists, Castaldo said they have no plans to consummate their marriage. He just needs a life companion and Carmella is just perfect. "Whenever someone says I am doing something wrong I reply the goat does not speak, ask for money to go shopping and doesn't get pregnant – and she can't talk," the groom-to-be praised his future wife. She does have one fault, though – she tries to eat everything, including the first wedding dress Aparecido got for her. Luckily, he was able to find another.

After the October 13 wedding, Aparecido plans to celebrate his union to Carmela with a barbecue party, but makes it very clear that there won't be any goat meat served…

Nollywood actress sentenced to 2 months imprisonment for stealing iPad and iPhone

An Abuja-based upcoming actress,Nancy Ndukwehas been sentenced to two months imprisonment for stealing her friend's properties worth N190,000 in Abuja.

Nancy's friend,Faith Njokureported the case to theLugbe Police station,Abujaon September 2, 2013. The items stolen included an I-pad (N100,000), I-phone (N50,000) and Jewellery (N40,000) summing up to N190,000.

The Divisional Police Officer at Lugbe,Rabiu Sabiutold NET this afternoon that after investigations, the above items were found in Nancy's possession and she was charged to court on Friday, September 6.

The 26-year-old lady pleaded guilty to the charge 'I stole the items due to frustration. I have a one-year-old son to cater for. I am sorry and I promise not to do such again'.

However, Magistrate Celestine Odoof theAbuja Senior Magistrate Court, Karu, sentenced her to a two-month imprisonment with an option of a six thousand naira fine as substitute.

'The name of the company is 'Five Star Oil and Gas', a subsidiary of our Five Star brand. There's actually a lot we want to go into but we are taking our time to unravel them one after the other.'
The oil and gas sector is the highest revenue grossing sector inNigeria. TheMTNambassador tells us why he is treading that lane. 'You know the music business is in Nigeria, no one can remain on top for ever, that is why one needs to be wise and put down investments that will see one through when the hits are no more coming'.
Mr. Limpopo as KCEE is fondly called by fans isn't going in on this alone as he has the backing and partnership of his elder brother Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money. 'I know this is a new terrain for me, but I'm doing this with my elder bro, E-Money. Together we can never go wrong. We already have a few friends in that industry, hopefully with their advice and counseling we will get to understand the terrain better.'

Well the 49 year-old actor has hit the big screen again, but the question on the lips of fans is, could this be his last appearance in a movie? Are the fans soon going to have to cope without that charming smile and cute accent? On 30th August 2013, Pitt's new movie "12 Years A Slave" debuted at the Telluride Film Festival, and on Friday 6th September 2013 the movie made its official premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival held at the Princess Of Wales Theatre, already gaining a substantial amount of Oscar buzz.
Mr. Pitt was in great spirits throughout the evening of the movie premiere, and when asked about the Oscar Buzz on the red carpet, he quipped, "they all desreve it, every one of these performances is worthy". He also expressed his gratitude for the rave reviews in a Q & A after the premiere, saying, "I just have to say, if I never get to participate in a film again, this was it for me. It was a privilege".
Following the much applauded premiere, the cast hit downtown Toronto to celebrate, first with a cast dinner at Hudson Kitchen followed by an impromptu late night party at the Thompson Hotel, where they enjoyed the rooftop view and a few well-deserved cocktails.
The movie "12 Years A Slave" is based on the true story of Solomon Northup, a free black man, who was abducted and sold into slavery pre-civil war. The movie also features Chiwetel Ejiofor, who played the lead role, as well as Michael Fassbender and Paul Giamatti. Brad Pitt both produced and played a supporting role in the film, which was directed by Steve Mcqueen. We know that Mr. Pitt is more or less a family man cum humanitarian now, but while he congratulate him on this critically-acclaimed movie, we can only hope that he doesn't trade movie shoots for full time diaper-changing anytime soon.

Interviewer: You are so busy, is there a space for a man?

Katherine: I am taking a breather. Right now, I have young children. After you have been in a relationship for so long, I think it is healthy to open your mind to other things. Let's chase money first, it will come along. When you look at your children, you want to give them so many things, so let me focus on that. My parents do ask me, especially my mum. I am busy doing so many things, which include Lekki Wives Season II.Anyone who comes into my life now is just coming to suffer. I can't focus on that person. It is not that I don't get attention, I do.I get all sorts of attention, but I am not ready.

I think in our society, people don't understand when you say you are not ready. They look at me, like I must be mad; but that is the truth. For me, I don't want to bargain, because there are so many things to consider. I am on the radio from 10am to 3pm. From that time to wherever, I am running against time and, of course, I must also pay attention to my children. By the time I am done, I hit the bed fully clothed. And by six in the morning, my son will come and put on the light, 'mummy, it is time to wake up.' It is a miracle I am still like this; it is God. And I can't do any meeting before my time on radio, except I am on leave. And when I am on leave I like to travel, to go and breathe a little. But it will come; I have no doubt about that. Man matter? I don't have power.

Wonder what Frank Edoho will be thinking if he comes across this.
