I just hope Frank Edoho and the organizer would keep this up, I mean this is a Good news indeed for the veterans in the Yoruba Movie Industry..I reported earlier that Chief Lere Paimo also won N1milla (Read it HERE NOW!!!)...this time around Pa Kasumu onto the next level.... It’s a moment of jollification and celebration for the veteran actor, Kayode Odumosu, otherwise known as Pa Kasumu, who is now bursting out of his health challenge. The ace thespian has finally moved into his new three bedroom bungalow in Abeokuta, Ogun State. According to an industry source, the talented role interpreter has moved from his Alayaki, Mushin, Lagos residence, where he had lived for about 10 years.
The source said that despite the recuperating state of the ace comedian, he was still very much joyous and excited about the new development, singing praises in appreciation of what God has done in his life. “Pa Kasumu is very happy at the moment. He has finally moved into his new house in Abeokuta, Ogun State. I learnt he relocated on Thursday, April 17, 2014. I also learnt that his former place in Mushin, Lagos, has been occupied by another person. OCB learnt he should have moved to the place since January but due to the delay in the renovation of his newly acquired house. He was asked to remain in Mushin till everything was completed. I really thank God for him. He has started a new life entirely.”
An inside source also revealed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that fortune has continued smiling on the renowned film maker as he has just won N500,000, via the popular MTN sponsored television programme, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM). Buy Cheap Android Phones on Konga.com | Lowest Price in Nigeria

“I learnt Pa Kasumu just won N500,000 on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire programme, and he is so happy about it. I believe with that, his dream of travelling abroad for further treatment will soon be realized.” ENCOMIUM Weekly, in a bid to confirm the news, put a call through to Pa Kasumu’s mobile phone on Friday, April 18, 2014, but it was picked by a woman who identified herself as his younger sister. She told us that the Odogbolu, Ogun born theatre practitioner was out of town at the moment.
“Pa Kasumu is not around, but he left his phone. He travelled out of Ogun State. He went for treatment. I will inform him as soon as he returns.”

We later contacted his spokesperson and coordinator, Save Pa Kasumu Initiative, Mrs. Idowu  Olajide, and she confirmed to us that the comic thespian has relocated to his new Abeokuta, Ogun State home, adding that he is happier and much better now.

“It’s true that Pa Kasumu has vacated his Mushin, Lagos residence finally. He left on Thursday, April 17, 2014. He now lives permanently in Abeokuta. You will soon be invited to the place. He would be happy to grant you a full interview to show his appreciation to all that stood by him till date. He only comes to Lagos on Tuesday of every week for treatment. He is very much better now.”

Asked to comment on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’s N500,000 prize said to have been won by Pa Kasumu, she reacted, “It’s true that he won the prize but he is yet to collect the money. It’s not a kind of money that’s paid instantly. But hopefully, very soon, he will collect it.”

Sir what are you waiting for? Go collect the "EGO" sharperlly..hehe.

[MUST READ] Pa Kasumu Finally Reveals Why His Colleagues Were Absent At His Son's Wedding!

Veteran actor Kayode Odumosu, popularly known as Pa Kasumu, speaks with The Nation on why his colleagues in the movie industry were conspicuously absent at his son's wedding “I actually didn’t invite them because my son didn’t want any publicity.

Although I invited Iya Rainbow, Iya Awero, Jide Kosoko and Ngozi Nwosu, none of them could make it.

Ngozi later called me in the evening that she was held up in traffic around Iyana Ipaja, so I told her not to bother because it was almost over. Iya Rainbow couldn’t come for reasons I won’t like to disclose, but neither Jide Kosoko nor Iya Awero called me to explain why they didn’t come. The truth is, if they had come, my son wouldn’t have been happy with me because he would know that I invited them. Really, their presence would have generated some publicity, which might have angered him. So, he wanted a low-key ceremony.”

Pa Kasumu’s son, Weds... No Nollywood star Was Present at the Wedding! (Photo)

Pa Kasumu’s son, Olatunde weds

It was apparently a moment of bliss for ailing Yoruba actor, Kayode Odumosu, alias Pa Kasumu, during the traditional wedding of his son, Olatunde Odumosu and Mojisola Adamolekun on Saturday, March 1, at Blessed International School, Aboru, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos.

The colourful ceremony took place two days after the court wedding on Thursday, February 27, at the Ikoyi Registry, Lagos, a ceremony attended strictly by family members.

The Saturday’s traditional wedding, which was relatively elaborate, kicked off at about 1p.m. under a drizzle. The 37-year-old groom, who was dressed in a lace material cut in buba and sokoto with a red cap, was all smiles, while the proceedings lasted. The Ekiti State-born bride, with graceful steps and beatific smiles, complemented the groom in all imaginable way. As the engagement ceremony glided from the introduction, prayers for the couple by their parents, exchange of rings to the cutting of the wedding cake, the two alaga iduro as well the two masters of ceremonies, in their characteristic vivaciousness, added colour and panache to the ceremony. And then, the live band further enlivened the venue with an electrifying performance.

Interestingly, like a sub-drama, several eyes kept stealing a glance at the groom’s father at intervals. There was no mistaking the suspicious look on some faces, especially as one of the masters of ceremonies, Ben Cash, repeatedly debunked the death rumour about the respected actor. Unknowingly, he seemed to echo the murmurs in the minds of some anxious guests who wanted to know whether the various media reports about Pa Kasumu’s ill health had been sensationalised or not in anyway. But it was obvious for all to see: wobbly steps, almost inaudible voice and occasional blank look. Nevertheless, the actor, who donned a blue agbada with a pair of matching shoes and an ash-coloured cap, dutiful played his fatherly role on the occasion to the admiration of all, thereby rubbishing the claim that he is already in a vegetative state.

Interestingly, in the midst of the ceremony, many wondered why Pa Kasumu’s colleagues in the movie industry were conspicuously absent to share in his joy. The pertinent question asked in hushed tone was: where are the stars? Even when Pa Kasumu was dancing, though not energetically, with the couple, he was only supported by family members, while he ‘sprayed’ the excited couple with some crisp notes. In the opinions of some, it could only be proof of a frosty relationship between him and his colleagues.

However, some hours after the ceremony, the actor, in a telephone interview with The Nation, gave a hint on why his colleagues were not in attendance. Contrary to the insinuation in some quarters, Pa Kasumu, who initially expressed shock that our correspondent got wind of the event in spite of the strategic plans to shut out media coverage, said, “I actually didn’t invite them because my son didn’t want any publicity. Although I invited Iya Rainbow, Iya Awero, Jide Kosoko and Ngozi Nwosu, none of them could make it. Ngozu later called me in the evening that she was held up in traffic around Iyana Ipaja, so I told her not to bother because it was almost over.

When asked to clarify the rumour that the bulk of the money donated towards his treatment went into the planning of the wedding of his first son, he raised his voice, saying, “Anyone who said that must be stupid! My son is gainfully employed and I am sure you saw some of his expatriate bosses at the event. So, why won’t he be able to sponsor his wedding? It was a thing of joy to me, and that was why I danced excitedly. Oh, I love to dance! If not that I was weak, you would have been pleasantly surprised.”
