I am A Metrosexual Guy- Late Goldie Stylist "Prince Uzoegwu"

Celebrity stylist Prince who is currently in America was Goldie's stylist and creative director for her music videos before her death, also styles different models in Nigeria and South Africa. Read his exclusive interview with OpeCareem.

OCB: Who is Prince Uzoegwu?
Prince :Prince Uzoegwu is a multi talented creature, a graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka!
A fashion stylist, actor and presenter and he is 25 years old.
Currently the fashion stylist for MonaLisa magazine

OCB: Full name and family background?
Prince: My name is Prince Uzoegwu Cole......will love to keep my family background private.

 

OCB: What did you study in school?
Prince: I read English and International Relations

OCB: Interesting! How would you relate that to your current career?
Prince: Well, I won't say it's related! Because  my current career Is a passion. I have always loved fashion, the shoes, bags cloths....am obsessed with fashion.

OCB: I know right, so to you, what is Fashion?
Prince: Fashion to me is one's style be it eccentric, high fashion, urban it relates to ones being....  There is no clear definition to what fashion is. Trends comes and goes, style is individual and fashion can be interpreted in anyway...that's what makes it so interesting.

OCB: Your Style?
Prince: I love skinny jeans, it suits my frame, it about dressing for your shape and letting your personality come through. I like colour blocking, and tees that make a statement. I wear contact lenses sometimes to stand out. I dont like looking like everyone else.

OCB: Most people say you copy Denrele, how would you differentiate your style from that of the eccentric VJ?
Prince: Hummmmmm like seriously! Well anyone who knows me way back from my childhood days will tell you I have always been eccentric in my fashion sense! Even in my university days..... I am a metro sexual guy, whatever I wear I always love it dark....always looking beautiful to me is boring! I enjoy styles from Alexander Mcqueen, Adam Lambert and the  music icon, Prince.

OCB: How long have you been a sytlist?
Prince: Five years (5)

OCB: Celebrities you have worked with and planning to work with?
Prince: I have worked with Goldie, Essence, Caroline Ekanem Danjuma, South African music artist Mshoza, Miss KSB, STV Layole Oyatogun, Cythnia Morgan, Denrele, Monalisa  Chida, Joan Okorodudu, Ini Edo, Steph Okereke, Vixen Yvoone Ekwere, Oge Okoye, Moyo Lawal.....the list is endless....Future plans Lady Gaga, Madonna, JLO...Hollywood

OCB: How would you describe your relationship with late Goldie?
Prince: One thing I would always remember  late Goldie for, she's someone who believed in me, believed in my talent and  gave me the fame....i was her Fashion stylist for 2yrs. I was behind the styling for her videos, photo shoots event outfits and was her PA. She was also a great friend and a good listener.

OCB: One thing you would always remember Goldie for?
Prince: If there is anything I will remember Goldie for is the way she advises me.....in her words, "Watch, Observe then take Action.

OCB: What has been your greatest achievement?
Prince: So far my greatest achievement are styling Goldie videos and getting awards for it, styling at the Mercedes benz fashion week in Jburg and New york  and styling a shoot for the producer of the hit series The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

OCB: Relationship status?
Am in a very private relationship with smone I call a soul mate....won't want to discuss more about it. 

OCB: Concerning gay stories online and controversial pictures?
Prince: Well, anyone can say anything, the internet is free........ And concering the photos, I have my instagram Account to do that which is no one business.....

OCB: What has been ur greatest regret?
Prince: I don't have any regrets in life...Life is filled with different situations and I have been able to deal with it!
