
The management of Yaba College of Technology has announced the dismissal of 73 students for allegedly presenting fake WAEC and National Diploma results for admission into the school. The Deputy Registrar, Mrs Titilayo Obadimu, said that the affected students were those in pursuit of 2013/2014 part- time academic programs in Ordinary and Higher National Diploma.
According to the statement, the results were discovered during the verification exercise of Senior Secondary School Certificates and National Diploma results. 46 students were affecting for Ordinary Diploma (OND) while 27 students for Higher National Diploma (HND) were affected.
The affected students are advised to hand over the property of the college in their possession, including student identity cards, to their various heads of department, the librarian and the dean of students’ affairs with immediate effect.
Mr Charles Oni, Head, Public Relations of the college, said the college had zero tolerance for all forms of malpractices and social vices.
