The Recession Will Soon Become History - VP, Osinbajo

The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has said that the economic recession Nigerians are facing will soon come to end. However, he said this will happen with complete focus on improving the economy every day. Osinbajo disclosed this while commending the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and other officers for handling the protests with professionalism and respect for the right of citizens.

"I commend the IG & his officers for handling the protests with professionalism & respect for the rights of citizens. We are committed to a continuous engagement with our people to explain government policies, receive advice & criticism.

Cabinet Ministers have gone round 8 States so far for Town Hall meetings, the most recent was yesterday in Ilorin, Kwara State. There will be more of such meetings in other States yet to be visited. With complete focus on improving the economy every day, the recession will soon be history," he tweeted.
