Chairman of the ​All Progressives Congress, APC​, in ​Lagos State, Chief Henry Ajomale​, has reacted to the defection of ​former Minister of State (Defence) Musiliu Obanikoro ​to the party.
He also said that former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George will soon join the APC.

​Ajoma​le stated that he was ​​not surprised at Obanikoro’s defection to ​the ruling party.

You can't run away in heat of battle - FFK tells Obanikoro over his plans to join APC

Obanikoro desperately seeking first N100m refund for freedom

Former Minister of State (Defence) Musiliu Obanikoro is yet to refund the N785million allegedly collected from the Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA), The Nation learnt yesterday.

Of the cash, Obanikoro planned to immediately refund about N100million to regain his freedom and look for the balance,The ex-minister is said to be desperately seeking how to refund the money.
A top source, who spoke with the Nation correspondent, said:
 "The ex-Minister is yet to pay back any money out of the N785million in question. Although he promised initial remittance of N100million, he is yet to do so.
"Instead, he said he will make a commitment to the EFCC to refund the cash. He begged for more time to enable him to look for the refund."We are however expecting him to make reasonable refund; we cannot accept just an undertaking from him. He needs to live up to his promise."The refusal to refund any amount has been a major issue why his bail is being delayed."
The EFCC had discovered that Sylvan Mcnamara Limited, allegedly owned by Obanikoro and his sons,   was used to launder the N4.745billion.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George has described Lagos governorship aspirant, Musiliu Obanikoro as a desperate sinking man. George also stated that Obanikoro is “possessed and obsessed” and in need of “immediate psychiatric treatment.” The duo are at loggerheads due to the party’s recently conducted governorship primaries which Obanikoro has accused George of manipulating to ensure that another candidate, Jimi Agbaje emerges the winner.

Few days after President Goodluck Jonathan urged ministers, who have ambition for elective posts to resign, seven ministers have resigned from the president’s led Federal Executive Council, to pursue their elective positions. Those who resigned are Ministers of Information, Labaran Maku; Trade and Industry, Samuel Ortom; State for Education, Nyesom Wike; and State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.

Musiliu Obanikoro Mocks Governor Fashola for Reversing LASU Fees


The Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obaniko has made caricature out of Governor Babatunde Fashola’s reversal of the Lagos State University’s tuition fee. The fee which was reduced from an outrageous sum of N350,000 to only to N25,000 has risen the spirit of the students of the institution who had cried for several months over Fashola’s unchanging resolve.
