The entire city of Asaba was set agog when 23year old UNIBEN Undergraduate Olumilua Yemi from Ekiti State won the most coveted crown of Queen Globe Beauty Pageant 2013. The event was held at Grand Hotel August 17th 2013, Asaba and according to Hon Odi Odigie,CEO of D.Sinatra Ent promised an electrifying show! Queen Globe is committed to empowering young beauties, we are not selling a dream, We are building a future for the young ladies who are contesting in our pageant. We are confident that the new Queen Globe Beauty Pageant which produces avenue for the country to have its representative in the following international competition which includes Miss Globe International, Miss West Africa International, World Super Model and Teen Super Model will benefit the country and move us all a step closer toward building a greater Nigeria”
The crowd was hyped up and cheering as the contestants looked hot in their traditional, Bikini and Evening Wear. The crowd went wild every time the contestants came out but the cheering grew loudest when the top five contestants – Oyibo Lolita, Okeke Queen, Osemwegie Beauty, Emmanuel Adekemi, and Olumilua Yemi – were called out onto the stage.
Proud supporters screamed for their contestants of choice but it was unanimously agreed that Olumilua Yemi. Deserved the crown. Oyibo lolita, came in 5th place, Okeke Queen in 4th place as TEEN Super Model, - to represent Nigeria at World SuperModel TEEN category in Fiji Island. Osemwegie Beauty, in 3rd place as World Supermodel – to represent Nigeria at Fiji Island this November, and 2nd place went to Emmanuel Adekemi with title Miss West Africa Nigeria 2013. Other contestants that won various awards like Miss Photogenic – Akpofure Onajite , Miss Amity. – Peter Patricia Seigha. Olumilua Yemi won the Queen Globe crown, would be representing Nigeria at Miss Globe International and she is also the face of the watchlocker wristwatch brand in Nigeria.
